Parker est un athl\u00e8te de dix ans qui pratique plusieurs sports et un combattant motiv\u00e9 contre le cancer. Apr\u00e8s qu’une bosse indolore l’ait envoy\u00e9 au CHEO en ao\u00fbt 2022, des scans et une biopsie ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 qu’il souffrait d’un sarcome d’Ewing. Il a bient\u00f4t commenc\u00e9 des traitements de chimioth\u00e9rapie et subi une intervention chirurgicale complexe consistant \u00e0 retirer des parties de sa jambe et de son genou et \u00e0 faire pivoter la partie restante de sa jambe pour recr\u00e9er une fonction normale de la jambe. L’op\u00e9ration a \u00e9t\u00e9 un succ\u00e8s et Parker est maintenant redevenu actif. \u00c0 quelques mois seulement de la sonnerie de cloche du CHEO, Parker se tourne vers l’avenir. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab\u00a0Nous avons trouv\u00e9 des histoires d’autres enfants qui ont v\u00e9cu la m\u00eame chose, y compris John Leslie, un autre patient du CHEO qui a particip\u00e9 aux Jeux paralympiques en tant que planchiste. Nous avons vu que cela lui permettrait d’avoir une vie active. Tout le processus visait \u00e0 s’assurer qu’il s’en sorte et qu’il puisse vivre sa meilleure vie !<\/p>\n\n\n\n
