The Brent Louis Research Fund, under the umbrella of the CHEO Foundation, is hosting it’s 3rd annual bowling event, the Skooby Bowl 2017 in memory of Brent Louis.

Brent was first diagnosed with sickle cell anemia, on April 5, 1979 and fought a courageous battle against the disease for 36 years. As a way of honoring his memory, since his passing on July 25, 2015, the founders of The Brent Louis Research Fund have held a bowling tournament affectionately recalling his nickname – Skooby. The Skooby Bowl is held to raise funds for sickle cell research. The Brent Louis Research Fund is in its infancy and will be the only source of funding dedicated to sickle cell research.

TIME: Registration starts at 2 p.m.
