The Butterfly Run Ottawa aims to raise awareness and support around pregnancy loss, infant loss, pregnancy after loss, and infertility in Ottawa and surrounding areas. In addition, all proceeds from the run are donated to Roger Neilson House (RNH), a pediatric palliative care hospice.
Pregnancy is supposed to be a time of excitement and anticipation of the future. Unfortunately, pregnancy and infant loss (also known as perinatal loss) affects 1 in 4 women as well as their partners and families. Perinatal loss is defined as the death of an infant during pregnancy or soon thereafter. These losses are devastating and it can be hard for others to understand the magnitude of grief that accompanies these losses. In addition, it can be extremely difficult for people to even become pregnant. Infertility affects 1 in 6 Canadians.
Registration information:
In person and Virtual options available.
There will be 3 options for In-person pricing, based on registration dates*:
1) Early bird pricing: July 1 – July 31:
$25 per person.
$40 per family (two adults + unlimited kids).
$2 shuttle ticket.
Kids are free but need to be registered for numbers.
Includes adult shirts.
2) Regular price Aug 1 – 31:
$35 per person.
$50 per family (two adults + unlimited kids).
$5 per person shuttle ticket.
Kids are free but need to be registered.
Includes adult shirts.
3) Last call pricing Sept 1 – race day:
$45 per person.
$60 per family (two adults + unlimited children).
$10 per person shuttle ticket.
Kids are free but need to be registered.
Does not include shirts.
*Please note, shirt ordering closes on Thursday August 31.
After this date, shirt ordering will no longer be an option.
Virtual Event registration pricing:
15$ per person for registration.
