The Butterfly Run is excited to announce our third annual Bereaved Mother’s Day event!
Please join us for Bereaved Mother’s Day on May 7, 2023 at OCCO Kitchen. This event will be a safe place for bereaved mothers and their families to be able to meet other women each on their own unique journey through parenting a child that will forever be held in their hearts.
During this event, you will create your own custom scented candles (8 tea lights) hosted by Cup of Intentions. The ritual of lighting a candle offers you presence in the moment and a sense of ease. Aromatherapy calms your nervous system and creates a space for your truest self to arrive.
What to expect during the workshop:
- Learn about the benefits of soy wax, and essential oils.
- Create your own custom scent.
- Shift your senses as you blend soy wax, & essential oil blend.
- Embellish your candles with dried flowers, oranges and gemstones.
- Set and create your intention tag.
While you are waiting for your candles to set, OCCO will provide you with tea/coffee and delicious pastries!
Registration will be $50 per person.
The Butterfly Run team is put together by a group of bereaved parents and volunteers. We recognize how Mother’s Day can be hard for bereaved mothers. Being in a community that is able to support and have a true understanding of the ultimate loss of losing a child is crucial in a bereaved mothers healing.
We welcome family, friends and anyone who has supported a bereaved mother through her journey to come honour her on Bereaved Mother’s Day. Let’s raise awareness that even through the most difficult and darkest times, we can lift one another and shine.
