CHEO and Ottawa Bluesfest Announce Unique Partnership to Help Transform Pediatric Care

OTTAWA, ON, July 2, 2025 – CHEO and Ottawa Bluesfest today unveiled an exciting partnership designed to raise crucial funds for CHEO’s ambitious redevelopment. This collaboration, dubbed “CHEO Night at Ottawa Bluesfest,” will rally festivalgoers to support CHEO on Friday, July 11, through a variety of engaging fundraising activities, culminating in a headlining performance by the critically acclaimed artist, Hozier.

On “CHEO Night,” festival attendees will have multiple opportunities to contribute, including a 50/50 lottery and convenient tap-to-donate options. Throughout the entire festival, visitors can delve deeper into CHEO’s transformative vision at the dedicated CHEO booth on-site – a unique presence as the only charitable organization featured at the 2025 edition of the annual festival.

“When two beloved brands like Ottawa Bluesfest and CHEO come together, especially on a night featuring a talent like Hozier, the impact will be felt far beyond the stage,” says Steve Read, President and CEO, CHEO Foundation. “Festivalgoers may be coming out for the unforgettable sounds of the music heard that night, but they’ll also be directly helping change the lives of kids who need our help more than ever.”

“Building a strong community is at the heart of what Bluesfest is about,” says Ottawa Bluesfest Executive Director, Mark Monahan. “And supporting CHEO is a no-brainer for us as it is about building the future of our city. We’re thrilled to have Hozier headline on a night dedicated to such a vital cause.”

In addition to Hozier, the full lineup for the July 11 “CHEO Night” will feature performances by The Dead South, Charlotte Day Wilson, Sarah Harmer, Amigo The Devil, The Claudettes, Claude Munson, Emilie Steele & The Deal, Kristine St-Pierre, Sophie d’Orléans, Vikki Gilmore, and DJ Karyen.
