About the CHEO Foundation
CHEO Foundation is the philanthropic arm of CHEO, CHEO Research Institute and Roger Neilson Children’s Hospice. For 50 years, the CHEO Foundation has been the link between these respected institutions and the generous community that financially sustains them. CHEO Foundation staff are inspired by donors, and the community, who support pediatric healthcare, cutting-edge research and essential services to ensure children and youth can live their best lives. We are proud to put the interests of kids at the forefront of our decisions and we are intentional in everything we do. Finding a job you love is not always easy but I truly am passionate about my role as a Community Engagement Officer. Working at the CHEO Foundation and supporting CHEO brings me so much pride, and has resulted in the formation of many lifelong friendships. As a team, we all share the same goal – ensuring the kids and youth in our community and beyond have access to the best possible care, and it is a wonderful feeling knowing that your every day work makes a difference.

This journey has been extra special for me, because 26 years ago, I was one of those patients. At the age of 15, I was diagnosed with childhood cancer. I’ve been fortunate to experience the life-changing impact of CHEO firsthand, and it’s something I’ll never forget. 26 years later, I’m healthy and happy to be part of a team that has had an incredible impact in the lives of so many. From attending and supporting events, to helping our donors, I love speaking with people about why they decided to support CHEO. As we pass our 50th anniversary, I’m so proud to be part of the team working to ensure CHEO will support families for another 50 years and beyond.
