As the CHEO Foundation’s philanthropic efforts continue to grow in all areas including major gifts, annual giving, legacy giving, special events and more, so does the importance of support in the area of communications. The CHEO Foundation is looking for a communications professional to fill the role of Communications Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Communications Specialist will be a key member of the team whose main responsibility will be writing and storytelling. You love to write for various audiences and no topic is too complex for you to research and adapt for the general public to digest and understand. You understand that our generous community is why CHEO is able to attract the very best professionals all sharing in the mission to help children, youth and their families live their best lives. You will help to spread the word about what we do across multiple platforms.
Director, Community Engagement
We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Director, Community Engagement who will play an important leadership role with the CHEO Foundation team and serve as an important ambassador for CHEO in the community.
As the ideal candidate, you are someone who is passionate about kids and about CHEO’s mission of helping each child realize their best life. You possess tremendous organizational, people and communications skills and you utilize them to achieve great results, inspire positive action and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You love working with others as part of a team and you respect and value the contributions of each team member. Your tremendous work ethic and passion for your role is evident for all to see and you lead by example on a day-to-day basis. You are a coach, a teacher and a role model. You are not afraid to seek the advice of trusted mentors and you have earned the status of trusted mentor to others. You have a proven track record in organizing and executing successful fundraising events and you are someone that your current organization will hate to lose because you will leave it a better organization than when you arrived.
