Become a Volunteer
Become a volunteer and enjoy a rewarding experience that helps in so many ways. Whether you’re assisting with events, providing administrative support, participating in special programs, or creating smiles as the beloved CHEO Bear Mascot, your contribution is invaluable.
Join our dedicated team and bring comfort, joy, and support to those who need it. Your time and effort make a lasting impact and create cherished memories for CHEO’s young patients.
I want to do something to help. If I’m having a hard time as an adult, can you imagine a child who doesn’t understand, and parents who are feeling helpless? You don’t volunteer expecting anything in return but knowing you can make a difference is worth all the money in the world. Giving my time is my way of giving. You make friends and most of them come back every year. For me volunteering is about joy, friendship, adapting and overcoming.

CHEO Volunteer
I’ve been volunteering at CHEO since 1983, participating in events like the Telethon, Teddy’s Bear Picnic, and Tour Nortel/CN Cycle for Kids. My commitment stems from a deep personal connection to the hospital. As a patient in the late 1970s and early 1980s, I experienced firsthand the incredible care and compassion that CHEO provides. Later, I had the opportunity to work at CHEO during the 1990s, further solidifying my appreciation for this vital institution. Volunteering allows me to give back to a place that has meant so much to me and my family.

Volunteering at the CHEO Foundation has become something I look forward to. I love making a difference, no matter how small of a contribution it is. I know at the end of the day, I have made a significant impact on the families who live in our community.

I love volunteering my time with the CHEO Foundation. The Foundation is such a wonderful place that helps many people in so many different ways. The staff are incredible, and the event participants are so enthusiastic. By volunteering I help the community and gain life experiences that I will never forget.
