You can show kids these days they’re not alone.
Your support will help CHEO researchers create personalized care for kids facing eating disorders.
Kids these days are really struggling. Eating disorder hospitalizations are up 60%, while Emergency Department visits are up 126%.
Plus, children are coming into hospital in much worse shape than in the past—some come into hospital weighing as little as 50-60% of their healthy weight. This has to stop!
But first, we need to figure out: what is going on?
CHEO experts, Dr. Nicole Obeid and Dr. Leanna Isserlin, are doing important research, focusing on three key areas:
- identifying what puts children at risk;
- discovering what protects them;
- and developing personalized treatments using advanced tools like brain scans to match each child with the right care.
Their work could literally transform how we treat eating disorders in today’s connected yet isolated world.
It could even change the life of people you love and care about.
But they need your help!
Funding for research has not grown or kept pace with the need.
You can support these and other life-saving research projects when you give today.
