Carp Garlic Festival
Description for Carp Garlic Festival
Celebrating 36 years of bringing agriculture and community together with the return of the Carp Garlic Festival. Join us for two full days of garlic, food, music, and family fun at one of the region’s beloved harvest festivals.
Festivalgoers can browse a wide variety of local vendors offering fresh garlic bulbs, seed garlic, garlic braids, black garlic, and other garlic-inspired products. The festival also features family-friendly activities, live music, and an impressive selection of food vendors. Be sure to stop by the CHEO Foundation booth for a chance to win fun prizes while supporting children, youth, and families at CHEO.

DQ Miracle Treat Day
Description for DQ Miracle Treat Day
On August 13, 2026, DQ restaurants in Ottawa and Eastern Ontario will be supporting CHEO patients and their families. Bring your friends and family to DQ to buy a Blizzard Treat! There are 34 participating stores in our region supporting Miracle Treat Day, from Petawawa all the way to Napanee and Cornwall. Net proceeds from the sale of every delicious Blizzard Treat will be donated to CHEO.
Since 1994, Dairy Queen’s partnership with CHEO has raised over $2.4 million for the kids in our region. Amazing! Funds raised through Miracle Treat Day help CHEO meet the urgent needs of children and youth. This includes research into childhood diseases to find better treatments, purchase of vital equipment and important facility upgrades. Meeting each patient’s individual needs is a very important part of making sure every CHEO patient can live their best life. Help us to continue the tradition of making miracles happen for children and youth at CHEO by visiting a local DQ store to celebrate Miracle Treat Day.

The Barrhaven Classic Car Show is back for its 8th edition! The event brings together an exciting variety of vehicles for all to enjoy. The community is invited to stop by to experience the classics, browse vendors, enjoy great food, and take part in the 50/50 draw. There will also be live music and a car quiz with prizes to be won. Donations in support of CHEO can be made on site.

24Hr Yogapalooza is a charity fundraiser that supports childhood cancer care and research at CHEO. Now entering its ninth year and having raised over $650,000, the event brings the community together to support children going through a cancer journey.
Participants can take part in 24 hours of yoga on September 18, 19, and 20. This year’s event will be held at Beyond Yoga in Kanata.

A night of dancing, good food, and great music! The Fall for CHEO Fundraising Dance is hosted by Helping Hands + and The Cupboard and will feature musical artists Arc of Fire and Ambush.
Guests under 18 are welcome to participate in free activities from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. After 8:00 p.m., the event is 18+.

Welcome to the Lyrics 4 Life Songwriting Competition and Artist Showcase! Dive into the vibrant world of music, celebrating the creativity of our local music scene.
The mission of Lyrics 4 Life is to harness the transformative power of song to support CHEO, a cornerstone of our community.
Season 1 of this extraordinary contest launches in Fall 2026 and culminates a special spring 2027 spotlight. Aspiring songwriters will have the chance to receive mentorship, studio time, and prizes, all while crafting songs that can whisk listeners away to anyplace, any time.
Guests are invited to an evening of music, community, and meaningful fundraising, as Lyrics 4 Life comes together with us at CHEO Foundation to make a difference.
